Global Voices, Local Insights: Meet Our Authors

The transition to school is a universal milestone, yet it is experienced in a multitude of ways across the globe. To capture this complexity, the School Readiness Matters: International Perspectives project has brought together a collective of researchers, practitioners, and policy experts. The Architects of Transition The authors featured on this page are the heart of our forthcoming book. Each contributor brings a unique cultural lens and deep localized knowledge to the study of how children, families, and systems navigate the shift into formal education. Through this forthcoming book, our authors are documenting the "how" and "why" of educational transitions across six continents.

With 30 years' UK/NZ early years teaching, I bridge both sectors. My passion is creating a shared space to learn and work with families and teachers from ECE and school, aligning Aotearoa's play-based curriculum with new school demands.
